Everyone makes mistakes. At VION we do everything to prevent them. And we have developed all sorts of procedures to help us with that. If anything should go wrong, our warning system kicks in right away. And we take action without delay.
Manuals
VION Food Netherlands disposes of electronic manuals with procedures and instructions. These are applied immediately if a situation arises. We take measures commensurate with the situation. This can, for example, be shutting down a production process.
Crisis team
Whenever undesirable situations occur in our immediate environment, such as the outbreak of animal diseases, our crisis team leaps into action. All disciplines within our organisation are represented in this crisis team. The employees involved know that work for this team always takes priority over their normal duties. The team consults daily on the situation, and on the steps to be taken. An implementation team ensures that decisions are carried out. They will, for example, inform customers or the media.
Consumer safety and transparency
Two things are of paramount important to VION Food Netherlands: consumer safety and transparency. As soon as anything happens to disrupt normal procedures, we inform everyone involved immediately and directly. We keep people posted until the situation has returned to normal. The latest news is always available on our website.
Production chain
Different links work together within the production chain for pork and beef to produce a high-quality, wholesome product that is produced sustainably. Our high quality standard is the result of continuous input from all parties to further improve and enhance processes.
