VION Fresh Meat West is a large-scale supplier of fresh beef and pork to a large number of clients in the Netherlands and abroad. Our most popular products include bacon, different kinds of ham and shoulders. We also supply carcasses to Dutch and foreign clients.

Pork
Processing pork is one of our core activities. Almost all parts of the pig are used. Our production sites all specialise in particular areas to a greater or lesser extent.

Processing for industry
At the VION plants in Druten and Boxtel, we cut the different parts of the pig to size for our own retail sites of VION Convenience, as well as for industrial clients in the Netherlands and abroad.
In Helmond we only slaughter 'Welfare Pigs’. The so-called 'middles’ (the middle parts) of these pigs are sent to special production plants in Beuningen, Doetinchem and Scherpenzeel, where they are turned into bacon. We produce bacon especially for the English market. We exclusively use pork from the Good Farming Welfare concept for the production of bacon. Pigs slaughtered in Apeldoorn, Groenlo and Meppel are transported to clients in the Netherlands and abroad as carcasses or cuts of meat.

Beef
VION Fresh Meat has a site in the Netherlands that specialises in beef: VION Tilburg.
Cows are slaughtered and processed at the VION plant in Tilburg. The meat from the weekly intake of about 3,500 cows mainly goes to VION Convenience for Dutch retail clients. And VION Tilburg also caters to a number of major European industrial beef buyers.
