Market concepts
Pork is a delicious meat, but it must be reliable and safe. Pork consumers and buyers agree on this. But they have very different shopping lists.
VION therefore has four different product and production concepts. This means we can apply these upstream - to the characteristics of the pigs, the feed, the housing and/or environmental effects. Over 90% of pig farmers work according to one of these quality concepts.

Good Farming Global
Good Farming Global is aimed at worldwide markets and meets the specific requirements of countries such as South Korea and Japan.
Good Farming Star
Good Farming Star is aimed at the Dutch retail market. Initially for the Dutch supermarket Albert Heijn. The concept is characterized by extra attention to welfare and sustainability. The meat of Good Farming Star has one star according to the 'Better Life' characteristic of The Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals.
Good Farming Welfare
Good Farming Welfare is aimed at the British bacon and fresh meat market. This programme imposes additional requirements, among others the ability to produce perfect bacon.
Good Faming Organic
Good Farming Organic is the production concept for organic pork. This meat complies with all the requirements and regulations for organic production methods. For more information: www.skal.nl
